Old Xaverians have lost their place in the VAFA Premier Division grand final. The club has been thrown out after it fielded someone who did not qualify. This stemmed from a clerical error. The team confirmed its players and staff feel awful about the mistake. St Kevin's will now take Old Xaverians' place in the final. The league says the rule was violated and the forfeit stands right away.
