Peter Navarro, a Trump trade adviser, has warned Canadian lobbyists to stay away from the U.S., according to several accounts. Navarro's remarks were part of a larger warning advising Canada not to interfere in the U.S. midterm elections. The Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, has chosen not to impose further trade pressure, despite Navarro's threats. The incident has sparked a diplomatic exchange between the two countries.
