Governor Newsom signed bills to limit Immigration and Customs Enforcement ICE activities in the state. The legislation include restrictions on the use of conductive gloves by officers and protections for immigrant communities. These actions follow a incident where a young girl's body was discovered in a trash bin, leading to the mother's detention. The new laws aim to address concerns about ICE operations and support immigrant communities.
