World Space Week 2026 is taking place from October 4 to 10 under the theme "Rocket Revolution," focused on how falling launch costs could bring space within reach of more countries and organisations. Google noted the event with a dedicated Doodle, while Adafruit joined events tied to the week.

The European Space Agency partnered with Pokemon GO to offer a limited-time Astronaut Pikachu to players during the week. Katara also took part in the event. World Space Week is the world's biggest yearly space celebration, marked in more than 90 countries.
