Facebook whistleblower Frances Haugen is drawing fresh attention as a new film, The Social Reckoning, reaches cinemas and streamers. Starring Mikey Madison and Jeremy Allen White, the film dramatises her decision to bring hidden documents to light.
Haugen said publicly she has "extreme worry" about a change in direction at Meta and believes Zuckerberg is making risky bets with AI. She said she hopes the film inspires others to act, telling The Verge she wants it to spark a new wave of insiders speaking out.
